GRADE 6

I have been an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) for the last 11 years. I have specialized in Automatic and Mobility Training for the last 9 years. My training for the Mobility was completed with the Queen Elizabeth Mobility Centre which is based in South London. As well as Mobility clients I also specialise in clients who are very nervous and need the extra reassurance and support to succeed in their driver training. I currently operate as a franchised instructor with A-Class Driving School who are the largest growing driving school in north Kent. As an Approved Driving Instructor I am registered with the DSA (Driving Standards Agency) who regulate and grade instructors as well as run CRB checks to ensure that instructors are fit and proper people to teach. Instructors are graded 4, 5 or 6. I am currently a grade 6. My continued training is completed by undergo CPD (Continued Professional Development) so I am always up to date with the latest training requirements and standards.

Automatic and Mobility

Currently I have a Nissan Micra 1.4L as a training car. This is a basic automatic which can be modified so that I can train clients with Mobility Issues as well as clients who just want to learn to drive in an automatic vehicle.

For my Mobility Clients I have many adaption’s which include: Steering ball and steering ball fitted with a 6 way inferred control, left and right gas pedals, pedal extensions, handbrake adaption, and gear shift adaption. There is also plenty of room to store a wheelchair or other equipment in the vehicle during your lesson in the event that in an emergency and we have to exit the vehicle.

Intensive Training

As well as regular driving lessons I also offer intensive training. This is normally completed over 3 weeks followed by a driving test. I normally schedule around 10 to 12 hours per week to meet your individual needs to get you to test standard. Remember everyone learns at a different rate so this is a rough guide.

Motorway Driving

This is designed to give a full understanding to driving on motorways in a safe and correct manor. It is never too early or late to improve or train to drive on a motorway using good practices. Safety and advanced planning both in front and behind the car is the key together with good lane discipline.

Pass Plus

This is the ideal way to start your driving after passing your test. This is a scheme run by the DSA which is a structured course to give you the best start in your lifetime of driving. All the elements of the course are assessed, yes no test! and on completion you receive a certificate from the DSA. Many insurance companies are giving excellent discounts for people who have completed a Pass Plus course so this could save you pounds as well as improve your driving further.
